We were at the 7th Istanbul Animation Festival which held this year on November 22 to 27 at Pera Museum as Disual. Award-winning animation films were shown on the festival which incorporated the best animation films of last two years to its program.
Famous director Kamil Polak's last movie which won the best animation award in the Annecy Animation Festival The Lost Town of Switez was shown with the other award winning 214 films in the festival.
At the same time 28 Turkish animation films took place in the festival which has shown full-length feature films. There were free workshops in the Istanbul Animation Festival which show to participants and spectators the progress of the animation in Turkey and in the world and it make them to have an opinion about what is the animation with the viewpoints of the artists in their films.
We saw one more time that animation is not only for the children, just like a full-length feature, is a branch of art that can define a topic as Disual.
